Their version
Do your eyes sit wide
Does your nose turn to the side
Do your elbows kind of crinkle
Do your knees sort of wrinkle
Does your chest tend to freckle
Do you have a crooked smile
Do your eyes sit wide
Do your ears sort of wiggle
Does your hair make you giggle
Does your neck grow long
Do your hips sing a song
Do your ears hang low
the words Let Your Beauty Sing float on the screen at the end of the song, with a voice over saying
Dove & Walmart
find Real Beauty for Less.
Um... Is this Wal-Mart's way of acknowledging the POW website? The message I took from this:
Look, we know you have no sense of style. You've proven to us owning mirrors aren't a necessity, and *maybe* a six pack of Schlitz is more of a priority than
Now, drink the kool-aid.
i JUST saw this commercial and had the same reaction! So, I searched for the video on the internet, and came across your post. (have you found it?)
ReplyDeleteI was very amused by this.
Okay, siamese sister. The lady with the big teeth and curly blond hair (nurse?) scares the SHIT out of me.
ReplyDeleteKudos, woman.
you are all nasty
ReplyDeletei thought it was funny and showed real women
dgee
That commercial rocked! I thought it was funny and it enables us to laugh at ourselves as we grow older "gracefully".
ReplyDeleteI am totally lost! LOL! I do remember some song about :
ReplyDeleteDo your balls hang low?
do they swing to and fro.
That is all I can remember!
I do remember that song! That is the song I'm referring to that I don't know the real version! That, coupled with just seeing the website- I had all kinds of awful thoughts going through my head LOL.
ReplyDeleteI find this commercial so real I love the fact that Dove uses real women. Dove really allows us to improve and laugh @ what we see in the mirror and like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks I love it
I liked the commercial. I don't think they're calling anyone ugly or anything. It was a nice commercial, and I think they're trying to point out that we're all beautiful in our own way.
ReplyDeleteI hate this god-forsaken commercial. It doesnt rhyme and it gets stuck in your head. Shame on dove for stooping to walmart's satanic level. When this ad comes on I am running for the remote, god save us all from wal-mart.
ReplyDeleteIS THIS SONG ONLINE SOMEWHERE?
ReplyDeleteThis was a heartwarming and beautiful commercial. All women should feel beautiful about themselves no matter how they look. this commercial confirms that!
ReplyDeleteThe tune is Sailor's Hornpipe.
ReplyDeleteIm sorry, but this commercial is not heart warming. I know NO women that look like this. Most of them had that elephant boy kind of face, bug eyes big nose and lips. It was really strange and kinda scary. I hate this commercial
ReplyDeleteI think this commercial first and foremost is wise advertising. It does seem real and genuine. Secondly, it has to be one of the first commercials to include a lesbian couple in a grander "empowerment" of women. That totally rocks and is a giant step for society.
ReplyDeletedoes anyone else think the lady in the pink top holding the basketball is EXTREMELY UGLY??
ReplyDeleteOh god, every aspect of her face is so completely horrible looking... poor lady...
I love the commercial. Go Dove!!!
ReplyDeleteover your "shoulder"
